At least 350,000 new residential developments were granted planning permission in 2017 according to the Home Builders Federation (HBF) and construction industry data company Glenigan.
The report suggests that housing supply has increased 74% in the past 4 years, with over 217,000 new homes completed in 2017.
This is positive news at is means that the industry is on track to deliver the government’s previous housing target of one million new homes between 2015 and 2020.
