Smart Planning has won yet another appeal against the refusal of planning permission by Brentwood Borough Council, for the demolition of an existing bungalow and garage, and the erection of two semi-detached dwellings in Hutton, Brentwood.

The main issue was the effect of the proposal on the character and appearance of the area.

However, the Planning Inspector supported our arguments made, and stated that “the proposed dwellings would not appear out of keeping or cramped in the street.”

Subsequently, no harmful impact on the character and appearance of the area was identified by the Inspector.

The appeal was therefore allowed and planning permission granted, much to the delight of our client.
