The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government have now released the revised National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF).
The document sets out the government’s planning policies for England and how these are expected to be applied.
Housing Secretary, James Brokenshire, had stated last week that he hoped to have published the revised document before the ‘summer recess’, so today’s announcement was highly anticipated.
As the document is scrutinised over the coming weeks, more will be learnt about the revisions that have been made to the planning system in England.
The revised Framework replaces the previous National Planning Policy Framework published in March 2012.
