A major planning application has been submitted by Quinn Estates for a new 750-home development in Ashford, Kent.

Quinn Estates, who have been working closely alongside Redrow Homes to deliver the scheme, have initially asked for outline planning permission for up to 430 homes, and a full planning permission for 320 housing units.

The 81.9 acre site will include 61 one-bed flats, 170 two-bed flats, 34 two-bed houses, 350 three-bed houses and 134 four-bed houses. 30% of home will be made affordable.

The development also promises to deliver new community facilities including a 420-pupil school, gym, community centre, as well as infrastructure improvements for pedestrians and cyclists. There will also be some office space provided.

The plans will now be scrutinised by Ashford Borough Council, and should planning permission be granted, it is hoped that building work could commence as early as late 2019.
