Smart Planning has successfully obtained retrospective planning permission from Maldon District Council for a dog breeding business in Mayland, Essex.

The application sought the retention of fencing and the change of use of the site from residential use to part residential and part dog breeding use.

The Local Planning Authority agreed with Smart Planning’s supporting statement and determined that the development is acceptable subject to appropriately worded conditions, much to the delight of the client.

Additionally, the development supports the rural economy and has created a flexible live-work unit. Furthermore, the impact of the development on the character and appearance of the area, the amenity of neighbouring occupiers, highway safety and the living conditions of current and future occupiers is also considered acceptable.
